Why Women in Open Finance?

Under the leadership of OpenFinity co-founder and President Laura Heritage, Women in Open Finance is a new group essentially for promoting gender diversity and inclusion in an industry historically dominated by men.

By fostering a dedicated space for women in open finance, we can empower women to share their experiences, challenges, and successes, thereby inspiring others and promoting a more balanced representation in leadership roles.

OpenFinity co-founder & President

Throughout my career, I've witnessed the immense value that diversity brings to the tech and finance industries.

I want to put in place a framework that didn't exist when I was coming up through the male-dominated ranks.

With the founding of the Women in Open Finance community, we aim to create a platform where women can connect, support each other, and thrive.

We need to help the next generation of women leaders navigate and lift them up. Together, we will break barriers, foster innovation, and inspire future generations of women leaders in open finance.

Addressing Unique Challenges

Challenges: addressing specific challenges faced by women, such as work-life balance and gender bias. This community can provide a supportive environment to address these issues and develop strategies to overcome them.

Our Mentorship Program

While this program is not paid, and operates on a pro-bono basis, the role of a mentor provides an opportunity to give back, empower the next generation of women in open finance, and make a lasting impact on their careers.

Mentors will gain personal fulfillment, expand their professional networks, and enhance their leadership and coaching skills in a supportive community.

Within the limit of our capacity, OpenFinity will cover the cost for each approved mentor to participate in one coaching session with a professional coach
